Hi! Today pictures + music = http://www.shapeshifter.co.nz/ Shapeshifter is heavy soul/ drum and base band from New Zealand. Their site is continuous Flash animation with music in background. Visual elements appear and moving in more or less dynamic way- depends from backing track. It reminds simple kaleidoscope. The fun is to capture image you like most (it will take a while to catch something interesting...) My favourite theme are eyes.

You can download your image as a wallpaper, view gallery and get full info about Shapeshiftre. There is acces to myspace and facebook as well.

magneticNorth is UK based interactive design company. They write about themselves: 'We create digital experiences of all kinds- experiences that are useful, playful, and have story to tell- stuff that people want to spend time with' and I have to admit that it is 100% truth! First what delighted me is the way you move on mN site: draw circle to discover project, horizontal line to get news, vertical line for search and slant line to delete. Everything working very efficiently.   Visit necessarily! http://mnatwork.com/#/?state=0

The second issue are projects themselves. All really interesting and various. 'BBC Memoryshare' is an good example. Arranged as a 3D spiral as the main way to explore memories from 1900(!) till nowadays. You can navigate by picking up points on spiral, move arrows on side bar and timeline or search at the bottom by keywords: year, person, event. At last you can add and share your own personal and unique memory!

The other project that pay my attention is Doodlebuzz created by magnetic North's creative director Brendan Dawes. Doodlebuzz is alternative way to read the news. An experimental interface allows you to create typographic maps of current news stories. Type the key word, go and doodle to see results. Use the arrow key to navigate. Read and have fun!

Searching for web design sites is fun! Before I started college I wasn't familiar with new media too much, what is quite sad and nothing to be proud of... but how we saying: better late than never! Next one on my exploring list is http://www.quatcoul.com/ Quat'coul is French print company. Site keep in minimal design style, geometric and limited in colors. Already I see that most of all I appreciate simple solutions... Minus is lack of English version:(

Now it is time for two of my favorite picks, and I enjoyed them like a child! Both of them contain the same elements of fun and surprise... Magic Dots is a fun Flash animation created by Sampo Pihlaja. Move your mouse over the dot and it will split into four smaller dots, and into four smaller dots... simple! In Balls2 there is hidden picture under dots. The site contents few more Flash games like Fractal Tree, Acidcam (nothing impressive for somebody who used Photo Booth) Boxspin (ok... but Balls rules!)

Glitchscape is an experimental sound/vision musical instrument designed and programmed by Tomasz Slawnikowski, freelance Flash developer. All you have to do is drag some point on screen and move to draw shape which starts to pulse and makes some noise. Draw more shapes to watch their dance to delicate cacophony of sounds... On the site you will find short info, contact, portfolio (unfortunately not so interesting like Glitchscape project) The only thing what disturb me is absurdly small text, nearly unreadable, even on my 24' mac screen...

The other one I found really good arranged, clean, easy to move on and most of all with great pictures is  http://www.werkstette.dk/  Werkstette is a Danish company highly skilled in scanning, retouch and postproduction of pictures. Apart from that Werkstette produces artprint and 3D. ONE SHOt site contents very good gallery with: Advertising, Fashion and Art. On side of each photo icon appear short info with number of available pictures, company name and author. You will find full info and blog with newest ventures as well. Enjoy!

I have no choice but to write something, otherwice I will have troubles... I've picked flash web design to look at. I found it most interesting, entertaining and creative. The first one I like is Fred Perry 100 Years. Fred Perry(1909-1995) is a legend of British sport. He was the first player in history to win all four 'slams'. Well known from his sense of style in 1952 created fashion brand and timeless polo t-shirt under one of the most instantly recognizable logo in sport or fashion. The site has some nice old style touch (refer to Fred's Perry 100 birth anniversary) and simplicity. Pages arranged in way to give 3 dimension impression (elements cut off from background and situated in space with perspective rules) You can read Fred's Perry life story, check relationships with music, design, today's champions, sport events and initiatives for youths or just simply shop online on fredperry.com  http://www.fredperry100years.com/
